Walked the Des Moines River a few days back and Nick came up with an old but decent one.
We walked hard, but it's still early in the game.
Today Nick and I walked some property down near Guthrie Center.
First section I came up with a old dink.
Then it was Nick's turn in the next section and he found another old one, ironically ended up being a match to one he found last year.
After finding that one we stopped for a photo of this sweet bluff/rock formation.
We did A LOT of walking before I struck on yet another old one, and it was a dink deadhead.
We moved on to another property and Nick finally struck on a good deadhead while I was inspecting my blisters...
We ended on a property just outside of Panora, and walking the trail in Nick pointed out this not-so-little guy. This was after it flew from 5 feet away.
We walked from 8:30am to 4pm non-stop and came up short on the fresh drop list. It was still better than sitting in the basement all day!
Stay Tuned
