As things have been difficult for many lately, this is what has been running through my head as of the last few days. It may not be much, but it is what I have to offer.
The Continuum
In
sadness there is healing, not easy but necessary.
Memories,
both happy and sad,
Should
be reminisced to bring to light perspective.
The
past cannot be changed but only remembered
And
this concept is difficult to grasp.
How
we deal with the past will dictate our future,
But
our future need not be made worrisome by
what is done, and cannot change.
We
need to cherish the present for what it is,
Just
that. a glorious gift.
Life
is a gift and to live one is a privilege,
That
may not be granted fully or at all.
In
its simplicity and overwhelming complexity
Life
proves that there are joys and terrors,
That
we have no means to comprehend without faith.
Death
in particular,
is
often looked at as a burden and a terror,
While
the reality is neither. It is merely a part of the life
Granted
in the first place: in life there is death.
There
is relief in death, a celebration of a life lived.
Pain
and suffering cease and healing can begin again
A
spirit remains within those left behind, as a reminder
That
a life lived is blessed by the ones it touched.
Sadness is
often the most difficult emotion,
to
overcome when death is involved,
but in
sadness there is healing.
More memories
will be made.
Babies
are born.
Children
grow.
Happiness
and joy will be shared!
Sorrows
will be present,
But
generations will flourish on.
Family
will remain the roots that feed
The mighty
tree of life.
The hurt
may but only dull, but
Those that
have left us have not left forever,
As their
Earthly presences will continue to guide
And bring
those still here together.
In
sadness there is healing.
Joy will
prevail, because those gone,
And those
with us, provide what we need
To live
our own lives to the fullest.
Stay Tuned
